Tick Tock

Surgery day is coming quickly. I’m stressed and anxious. I am stressed because there is so much to do before I’m out-of-commission for the next 7 to 10 days. I’m anxious about the surgery and the permanent change to my body. The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday morning. I don’t find out what time I need to be there until Monday, late afternoon.

What I’ve learned so far? Be grateful for what you have. You never know when it will be taken away from you.

Also…I need to lighten up. So, I guess there are at least two things I’ve learned so far. πŸ™‚

Here’s hoping I get everything done tomorrow.

  1. Good luck with the op. I am sure you are all sorted on the tips front (everything from lip balm to post-surgery bras and drain bags) but if any last-minute tips would help, just shout. Take care, Jackie x

    • Thanks Jackie. I love reading your blog. You’re just ahead of me and it has helped me so much to see what you’re going through so I can anticipate what I can expect. Plus I love your wit!! πŸ™‚ I get the drains out tomorrow and I cannot wait. Thanks for your encouragement. Amy

  2. Yes lighten up! Save yourself some stress. All you can do is make sure your affairs are in order. and just plan for yourself to have that 7-10 day out of commission time. Some things that might help you in planning, do all your food shopping and stock your fridge and freezer. Even cook a few different entries and tuberware it so your family is fed while your having surgery. Do your laundry and change your sheets and just prepare to stay resting and recouping.
